Logistics

Event Location

The event is located in Oakland, California.  The event will take place at the Oakland City Hall, 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza Oakland, CA 94612.  Oakland City Hall is the seat of government for the city of Oakland, California. The building was completed in 1914, and replaced a prior building that stood on what is now Frank H. Ogawa Plaza. 

PARKING

  • Clay Street Garage it located behind City Hall, with an entrance on Clay, between 14th and 16th street.
  • Dalziel Building Garage is located on the corner have 16th Street, between Clay Street and San Pablo Avenue.
  • City Center Garage is located City center, With entrances on 14th St. And the 11th St., Between Clay and Broadway.
  • City Center Garage West is located on the corner of 12th Street and Jefferson Street with entrances on 12th Street, Jefferson Street, and Martin Luther King, Jr Way (across from Preservation Park).

Transportation

AIRPORT

The Oakland International Airport (OAK) is the second largest airport in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering over 300 daily passenger and cargo flights.  The airport is served by the new BART to OAK train, van shuttles, limousines, taxis and public transit buses.  For directions to and from the airport, click here.

AMTRAK

Oakland – Jack London Square is an Amtrak train station in Jack London Square in downtown Oakland, California. The station is served by the Capitol Corridor, Coast Starlight, and San Joaquins trains. Through Thruway buses, this station serves San Francisco. Oakland trains connect to cities such as Sacramento, Reno and Bakersfield, as well as daily routes to Seattle, Los Angeles and Chicago. 

GREYHOUND BUS

Oakland's Greyhound bus terminal is located at 2103 San Pablo Ave, Oakland, CA 94612, near Downtown Oakland. The bus terminal is located within a 10 minute walk to and from Oakland City Hall.  

LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

AC Transit offers frequent Transbay bus connections to San Francisco, as well as service within Oakland and to neighboring communities such as Berkeley. Local adult passes are $2.10 (cash or Clipper Card only), but be sure to check the AC Transit site for fare changes.

Bay Area Rapid Transport (BART)  provides sustainable, all electric train service direct from Oakland International (OAK) and San Francisco International (SFO) airports to Oakland and cities throughout the East Bay. And to cities from San Francisco to the Millbrae/Caltrain station just beyond SFO. BART has 45 conveniently located stations throughout these areas. BART Airport Service is the convenient, fast, low cost way to get from OAK or SFO to any city served by BART. BART airport trains provide daily direct service to/from both airports. The SFO station in International Terminal G is easy to get to. The new BART to OAK station is conveniently located in the parking lot right across the street from Terminal 1.
